About Talking Tables Candles

Founder, Clare, discovered her love of table-scaping and the joy of bringing people together whilst growing up in Scotland, sitting around her mother's kitchen table. She left her job to follow her dreams of creating memorable moments around the table for all occasions, resulting in Talking Tables. It still remains a family-run business today with Clare at the helm.

Specialising in party decorations, they supply the most gorgeous products for any occasion, making sure they’re ahead of the curve for all seasons and events. You can now find a small selection of brilliant striped candles and candlestick holders amongst other seasonal ideas here at Sarah Thomson in Melrose as well as on our website too.

Having grown their company over the last few decades, the main focus is now sustainability. How can we do what we do but with less impact on the world? Having recently introduced the first home recyclable paper cups, they’re taking steps to improve in the right direction. Not only have they removed all plastic from their packaging but they have also started creating fabric alternatives to traditional paper products for a more sustainable and lasting purchase. Glitter has also been completely removed from their products. By participating in carbon offsetting such as planting trees, they are paving the way for small businesses to do the same.

We carefully hand-select candles, candle sticks holders and other seasonal decorations for each season.
