History Of POM Amsterdam

POM Amsterdam is a relatively young brand, founded in 2011 by a pair of Dutch sisters working out of the city of Amsterdam. With design royalty flowing through their veins in the form of grandparents who were the founders of the famous Royal Talens oil paint company, the two sisters really took their heritage to heart, insisting on a colourful palette when it comes to their clothes.

With strengths in both fashion and business divided between them, Liesbeth and Violet have expanded their family business from their home city to more than 800 locations around the world where they sell their range. Designing every print and pattern themselves, their ethos is explained simply by the belief that women truly express themselves when they dare to wear colours and patterns that truly reflect their own inner selves.

The POM Amsterdam brand is best known for its imaginative use of pattern and colour, whether that’s a highly patterned dress designed by Liesbeth and Violet or a bright and vibrant block colour that catches the eye.
