About Quinton Chadwick Womenswear

Friends Jess Quinton and Jane Chadwick shared a vision to create a clothing brand using only small and independent British Mills to counter the fast fashion industry and to make the very most of the incredible crafters available in the UK.

Having trained at the prestigious Royal College of Art, Jess Quinton went on to work at the iconic Italian fashion house Missoni where her love for colour and pattern flourished. She later teamed up with Jane to transfer these skills into their own knitwear brand 15 years ago to create knits just as high quality as our own Sarah Thomson Scottish Knitwear.

The Design Process of Quinton Chadwick

Each sample is designed and produced in Jess's Suffolk classic knitwear studio whilst managing sales, press and logistics from their London-based office. The next step of the production process sees their designs sent off to the mills to be produced on industrial machines. While most of these mills are in Scotland, two others are based in Nottingham and Devon, areas where this craft has historically played an enormous part in the local economy and heritage. Quinton Chadwick pride themselves on supporting these local, traditional trades to keep the exquisite craftsmanship alive.

At Sarah Thomson, we love sourcing unique womenswear brands that support small businesses, and Quinton Chadwick does just that. All of their yarn is sourced from British mills such as Lambswool, Merino and recycled cashmere. These are all 100% natural and biodegradable fibres. Their exceptional designs are knitted, combining traditional and contemporary techniques to ensure their designs are made with zero waste.
