About POM Amsterdam

Liesbeth and Violet, Dutch sisters, founded POM Amsterdam in 2011 putting both of their strengths in fashion and business to good use. Based in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, their collections have flourished each season thanks to their creative and unique designs. Each print is hand-painted in their studio and transformed into garments later in production. Their ethos is explained simply by the belief that women truly express themselves when they dare to wear colours and patterns that truly reflect their personality.

Descendants of design royalty, their grandparents founded the well-known Royal Talens oil paint company so it’s no surprise they have a natural flare for colour and the arts. POM Amsterdam has gained international interest and is now stocked in more than 800 locations worldwide including us here in Melrose!

Since 2020 we’ve been stocking stunning designs from POM Amsterdam and they have quickly become an integral part of our collections, the blouses especially. What we love about their designs is that they do all the work! Chuck on a fabulous printed dress with trainers, heels or boots and let the dress do all the talking. Likewise with the POM Amsterdam blouses! Depending on the season, we also stock a selection of women’s skirts, knits and vest tops too, plus a few scarves and shawls to complement the prints in the collection.

We love how easy it is to wear POM Amsterdam blouses all thanks to the intricate and vibrant prints and colours. You can wear these with denim or white jeans for a casual everyday look, or even pick out a highlight colour from one of the prints to go bold. We love a bright pink or green jean combo with some of the prints for summer. Equally in winter choose a textured fabric to style your blouse with a pair of velvet, corduroy or leather look women’s trousers.
