The History of Sartoria Saracena

Nestled amongst the rustic scenery of Gragnano in the south of Italy just outside of Naples you’ll find the Sartoria Saracena factory and showroom. During our first visit, we realised quite quickly that this wasn’t your average factory set-up. Sartoria Saracena is a family-run business managed across generations and you feel that as soon as you walk in. With a handful of sewing machines as you enter and the pattern cutting room behind this you’ll find walls of beautiful printed linen fabric. As you leave this room and walk out into the courtyard which is brimming with lemons, grapefruits and olives, a terracotta and tile path takes you to their secluded showroom. It’s nothing short of idyllic and really makes us think that a Sarah Thomson in the sunshine would be worth a try!! 

Why We Love Sartoria Saracena

Famous for their high-quality, luxurious linen garments all made in Italy, it is no surprise why this women’s clothing brand is so popular. As if the incredible linens weren’t enough, in Winter they give us the most beautiful Cashmere shawls. It’s very hard to describe just how gorgeous these shawls feel to wear, but they are the softest, cosiest and most luxurious ones you can imagine. The range of colours are stunning, from simple and timeless, go with everything Winter white and soft greys to brilliant neon colours that will lift your spirits every time you wear them.
